Nick Zucco, Account Manager

Education: Nick grew up in Homewood, Alabama, and graduated from Homewood High School in 2009. He began his collegiate studies at Colorado State University, drawn to the Rockies by a passion for rock climbing. After his time out west Nick returned to Birmingham to finish his studies at UAB.

Professional Life: During the final year of college in 2014 Nick launched a family-owned insurance agency, which he owned and operated for over a decade. During that time, he developed deep expertise in property and casualty coverage, risk management, and insurance placement for a variety of business classes. In 2024, Nick joined Fairway Risk Solutions to help expand the firm’s mission of delivering forward-thinking insurance and risk strategies to clients across the Southeast.

Nick also co-founded the Steel City Soccer Foundation, a nonprofit initiative that brought the game of soccer to underserved youth in Birmingham. Through partnerships with Restoration Academy, BUSA, and the City of Birmingham, the foundation provided coaching, equipment, and mentorship. In 2018, the foundation helped transform an abandoned tennis court in the Druid Hills neighborhood into a state-of-the-art futsal pitch, which quickly became a centerpiece of the community and helped spark broader revitalization of the park.

Personal Life: Nick is married to Morgan, an engineer at Southern Company. Together, they enjoy life in Birmingham with their son, Bennett, and their energetic and hilarious German Shorthaired Pointer, Kona. Becoming parents in 2024 was a life-changing experience, and much of their free time is now joyfully centered around their growing family. Whether it’s early morning walks with Kona, weekend outings around town, or simply soaking up time at home, Nick and Morgan are grateful for the pace and rhythm of family life. Nick remains passionate about the Birmingham community, where he continues to volunteer and contribute to local youth programs. He believes in building things that last — in business, in family, and in the city he calls home.
