Education: BS from Freed-Hardeman University in Administrative Services – Executive Support with a minor in Computer Science.
Professional Life: Cathy grew up in Nashville, in her father’s independent insurance agency, helping with personal lines account management, and automating the agency in 1986. She and her husband, Joe, later moved to Jasper, AL, and purchased Joe’s uncle’s independent agency, automated it, and ran it for several years before it merged with a larger agency in Jasper, Alabama – Byars Insurance, later to become Byars Wright Inc. Cathy handled the accounting duties there for many years. In 201,5 she was asked to join Anchor Insurance in Hoover, which later became Anchor Pardue Insurance, Inc., in Mountain Brook, Alabama. There, Cathy handled accounting and various other duties. She joined the Fairway Risk team on 6/1/22.
Insurance, accounting, and automation have always been Cathy’s forte. Her husband also worked in insurance and is highly regarded in the field. Their daughter, Lauren, and her husband, Pierce Huggins, also work in the insurance industry.
Personal Life: When not working in insurance, Cathy enjoys her 4 grandchildren, and owns/operates a 20-acre cattle farm.
